Art is a bridge between people of different views and backgrounds, a way of seeing and being seen, of beginning to understand and empathize with one another. Expressing oneself in art is often more powerful than in words, and more lasting.  Art matters.

Pratt is the Northwest's place where people learn to express themselves through art.  Pratt matters.

I have devoted my time and energy to Pratt -- as student, volunteer, Trustee, and now Board President. In these times of social turmoil, now more than ever, we need art to bridge between people struggling to understand and be understood.  Pratt needs your support to make ourselves accessible and affordable for all.

Pratt matters to me and to our community.  Help us to fulfill our role as a cultural asset of Seattle.  Thank you.

Pratt Fine Arts Center creates opportunities for everyone to learn, make, and experience the visual arts through our free and subsidized classes and workshops; low-cost studio access program for artists and makers; and free public exhibits, lectures, and events.

Absolute beginners work beside professional artists exploring glass, metal, wood, stone, jewelry, printmaking, book arts, painting, drawing, and more. Pratt welcomes students of all ages, skill levels, and backgrounds.

Our programs support our mission to foster a creative, inclusive art‐making community, providing access to quality education and professionally equipped studios for everyone. We promote the joy and transformative power of art and actively support the development of visual artists.

Donations received by noon on Saturday July 18th will count towards our fundraising goal for Pratt Live! a virtual telethon which will live-stream that same evening. Pratt Live! is an online event hosted by our amazing auctioneer Ian Lindsey, featuring live artist demos, a live auction with limited artworks up for bid, a catered VIP experience, and much more! Donate to the fundraising page of your choice and then don't forget to join us online at 6pm on July 18th! Please visit www.pratt.org/prattlive for the full details.

Your generous donation will support Pratt’s Creative Resilience Campaign which provides much-needed support for Pratt’s reopening and recovery from COVID-19 interruptions. It will ensure that Pratt's vital programs may contribute to a community-wide rejuvenation and secure the long-term health of the Center itself.
